Fruit Bowl - Soft pastels

Thanks for the invitation to be part of the group.  After many years hiatus, I am attempting to get back into art as a hobby.  One kid in college, another going next year.  So more time.  Plus getting tired of gardening with all this water shortage.

I have mostly worked with graphite/color pencils, but am trying to get into soft chalk pastels for the their bright colors.  The attached Fruit Bowl was done with Rembrandt Soft Chalk Pastels.  First time posting on a blog so hope the image comes through.

Being part of a group will help with inspiration to keep at it.

Looking forward to meeting everyone at the Ganpati celebrations on the 19th.
